On the real ghostbusters, What was Egon's mom first name? Did they mention it?

Nope. The name I use, Katharine, was created by Sheila Paulson. So it's technically fanon, and you don't have to use it.

Thanks. Oh what was Peter's dad name? Is it Charles or James? I think Peter's middle name is Charles or James. What do you think?

Peter's Dad was called "Jim" once in "The Treasure of the Sierra Tamale" but it seemed to mostly fly under the radar until the DVD set came out (it was a very late episode from an era not well regarded), though later on one of the covers of IDW's Ghostbusters: Year One James Venkman is used as an emergency contact on Peter's personnel file. "Charlie" is the name Sheila Paulson gave him, and it stuck; she was probably the same one that gave Peter the middle name "Charles" based on that.

For my purposes I used both names for Venkman's Dad: his (fanon) birth name is "James Charles Venkman", making both nicknames valid (I still use "Charlie" all of the time myself). Peter has no official middle name, though again, I'd been using Charles so long I've kept it. But again, not official.

For some reason, my own mother suggested Mrs. Spengler's first name was "Miriam".
