Fritz has mentioned Gundam a couple of times, so I'll ask: has anyone here been watching the current Gundam series, Mobile Suit Gundam AGE?

No, is it any good? I watched all of Wing and couldn't stand whatever one GLOWS WITH AN AWESOME POWER AND TELLS ME TO DESTROY IT.

G Gundam. It was corny, but I guess that's why I actually kind of liked it. Gundam, for all it's virtues, can go into the Grimdark Serious F-ing Business mode, and G Gundam was an antidote to that. Plus, you know, Rain Mikamura was kinda hot...

I haven't seen any Gundam since SEED, which was the last one Cartoon Network showed. It was pretty decent, a slick remake of the original show (so was Wing in a lot of ways, but the two managed to be different from it and each other); I hear the sequel, SEED Destiny, was pretty dire, though.

I still love that my kids always point out my lanyard and go "GHOSTBUSTERS" or start singing the song. So old school for the win.
