How does the Ghost claw work on the Ecto-1?

Hi

I wasn't sure which of the forums to post this on, but I am sure one of you guys will know

. I found an old toy from the 80s. The ECTO-1. How does the ghost claw work on that car? Is it supposed to reel out as you push the car along or something, as mine doen't seem to be doing that at the moment. I am thinking of selling it.

My ECTO-1 and ECTO-1A are inaccessible right this moment, but as I recall it was more like this: as you rolled the car, the claw reeled the ghost in, not out. If it's not doing anything, then, yeah, the one you found is probably broken.

you need to also move the muffler on the car from one side to the other.

The muffler or exhaust pipe is at the back of the car, right by the license plate. Yeah, I remember now, that it moves--in one position, the claw doesn't work, in the other it does.

Excellent tip guys, I have seen it working now.

It's a good toy. What was the RRP of this at the time. Does anybody know. King of toy?

I'm not sure on that one seeing how i was only 5. I will guess some where in the 30 $ range.
