Title: Moonlight Rating: G Author: Shafarah White Copyright: 2007
It was a nice summer evening. Ray and Elaine were spending some time alone since the kids were spending the week over Cousin Sam's dairy farm.
As the dinner dishes had been long cleared and the kitchen cleaned, Ray and Elaine Sat on the patio watching the sun set and the moon to appear in the almost night time sky.
"Wasn't that a beautiful sunset?" Elaine asked softly as she placed her head against Ray's chest.
Ray smiled as he stroked Elaine's dark hair. "Yes." He answered.
"I enjoy watching the sun set and the moon appearing in the sky. It's so peaceful and to be able to stay out for a little bit and see the moon at night." Elaine said smiling in contentment.
"I agree. After a long busy at work, I'm glad that we have the rest of the evening to oursevles." Ray said as he pulled Elaine closer to him.
"Me too, Ray," Elaine agreed.
The moon finally appeared in the sky.
"Look, Elaine," Ray pointed to the sky, "It's a full moon tonight."
"Wow, it's beautiful," Elaine said in amazement.
"Yes, but not as beautiful as you," Ray winked at Elaine.
Elaine giggled and leaned forward, planting a kiss on her husband's nose.
Ray held Elaine's hands in his own; they were looking into each other's eyes.
"I love you, Elaine."
"I love you too, Ray."
Ray sat down on the sofa on the patio. Elaine sat down in his lap, placing her arms around his neck and pressed her lips on his for another kiss.
The End
